"I have wanted to visit
Ethiopia since watching Jeffrey Boswall's Safari to Ethiopia on TV in a black
& white as a small boy. I have previously been lucky enough to go birding
in South Africa, Namibia & Kenya but Ethiopia was quite different. We had a
great, trouble free trip, racking up nearly 500 species in 21 days including
all of the possible endemics and all but one of the near endemics along with
some great mammals including Ethiopian Wolf. This was down to the excellent
ground arrangements and the hard work of the tour operator & local
Ethiopian guide Measho Legesse . Ethiopia is not Kenya so do not expect high
quality hotels, restaurants, good roads or lots of big game. Do however expect
friendly people, stunning views and lots of fantastic close views of the birds
which after all is why I went."
Mike Powell, UK
proved to have a very good knowledge of all the sites visited and knew exactly
where to find all our target birds. He also proved to have a sharp eye for spotting
birds from a moving vehicle!! Both AB and MCP are now very familiar with the
Amharic word for stop!!!
Additionally Measho proved to be a very able fixer and translator on the
ground, liaising with hotel and restaurant staff and quickly resolving any minor
issues we encountered.

This note is mainly just to say thank you for all you did for us in February to
give us such a great holiday in Ethiopia. We really enjoyed travelling with you
and your driver and learnt a great deal about the birds and wildlife of your
fascinating country and of course adding so many of new birds to our list!
Kind regards and our best wishes
